On Friday, March 13, 2026, Joost will release his solo album Rhapsodos on 7 Mountain Records.
It features music that has shaped him, alongside new works written for him, woven together by one guiding idea: the rhapsodos, the traveling performer of antiquity who brought stories to life, reimagined as a present-day calling for Joost on the harp.
Mythology forms the dramatic core, while other pieces draw on folk tradition and evoke spacious sound worlds, from the underworld to the cosmos. The harp is heard in a wide palette, from lyricism to percussion, from intimacy to theatricality, both acoustic and electronic.
The album includes works by Grandjany, Lemereis, Micháns, Amin Tafreshi, Lizotte, Connesson, and Chertok.
